Another Bishop has Fallen

We know of Arcbishop Eugene A. Marino of Atlanta and Bishop Joseph Ferrario of Honolulu. We also know of Bishop Hubert O'Connor in British Columbia, Canada and Bishop Eamon Casey in Ireland, all who have been disgraced through some kind of scandal. Most Irish seem to regard the resignation of Bishop Eamon Casey in 1992 as the point at which the Irish Catholic church went into decline.

Archbishop Marino resigned on July 10, 1990 after just two years as archbishop of Atlanta and after it was revealed that he had secretly married lay minister Vicki Long in 1988. She proceeded to file for divorce as well as attempt suicide. Eugene A. Marino died of a heart attack on November 12, 2000. I am sure that by checking the past history of the churches you will find many more archbishops and bishops that have been disgraced and we already know that there will be many more in the future.

The recent charges against Raymond Lahey, bishop of Antigonish, Nova Scotia for possession of child pornography, should come as no surprise to those that have followed our message of repentance and the truth concerning the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for the last twenty five years.

Further revelations that the police in Newfoundland were told about Bishop Raymond Lahey's possession of child pornography and how senior officers of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary dropped the ball, should come as no surprise either.

Twenty years ago, two brothers testified at the Newfoundland and Labrador Hughes Inquiry into the Mount Cashel orphanage, where they suffered abuse as children. One of the brothers told police then that Lahey befriended him when he was a priest in Mount Pearl, but the friendship ended when one of the brothers and another boy found pornographic video's and photos in Lahey's home.

For those not familiar with the story of the House of Horrors in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The Mount Cashel orphanage was opened in 1898 where about 500 boys were sexually assaulted by Newfoundland priests and Christian brothers, assaults that were covered up by the church and secular authorities. There are many websites detailing the history and horrors of the Mount Cashel orphanage.

In 1988 we started to correspond with the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church and after a twenty year history of sexual abuse in the churches, God has clearly manifested Himself and shown what spirit they serve (Luke 9:55), thus confirming the following words from the Bible: Fear them not therefore; for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known (Matt. 10:26; Luke 12:2).

However, as we have come for the pulling down of strongholds (Jeremiah 1:10; 2 Cor. 10:4), religion being the strongest of them all, we know that there are many more revelations still to come that will further confound the people of this world.

To give you a better understanding of the deep hidden mystery of the Gospel of Christ (Eph. 3:9) and of the sexual abuse cases involving most religious denominations and how the people have been deceived, we invite you to read and review the article entitled: Sexual Abuse in the Churches listed on this website.
