Self-Proclamation by Pope Benedict

During mass at Yankee Stadium recently, Pope Benedict claimed himself to be the Successor of Peter. This is a false statement and a deception.

The apostle Peter was not a Pope. It was not till approximately four hundred years after his death that Leo I (440-461 AD) made the claim that Peter had been the first Pope.

The articles posted on this web site explain that the apostle Peter served and followed after the spirit of God, while the Popes follow after the wisdom and spirit of this world.

For a better understanding of the above and the history of the Roman Catholic Church and the religions of this world, we encourage you to read the chapters The Mystery Babylon and Popes and Princes of this World of the book 'A World Deceived'.
