Pope's Resignation a Distraction and a Sideshow from the Real Issues

Never before in the history of mankind has there been such an influx of daily and ever increasing news about sex abuse, involving Vatican officials, Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, etc., etc. The news has included reports of  the misappropriation of funds, gay priests, prostitution and more.

Throughout all of this the Pope's voice has been none existent, even though he knew for months about a request by Cardinal O'Brien for his resignation. Originally he had requested an effective date of March 17, 2013, which all changed with the resignation of the Pope himself. Cardinal O'Brien, a Scottish Cardinal had earlier challenged allegations of sexual impropriety, but Pope Benedict forced his resignation in order to minimize the impact of the allegations.

The involvement of Cardinal Mahoney and other top Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles officials, how they maneuvered behind the scenes to shield child molester priests and provide damage control for the church and keep parishioners in the dark, became too much for the Pope to handle. The revelations of Cardinal O'Brien and Mahoney all became an important factor in the pope's decision to resign.

After a record-setting $660 million settlement as part of a lawsuit against the largest Catholic Diocese in Los Angeles, a judge ordered the Diocese to release more than thirty thousand documents with embarrassing details of the sex-abuse scandals, which also added to the distress of the Pope and church officials and the Pope's eventual decision to resign.

The Italian daily newspaper La Republica said the pope decided to resign on December 17, 2012, the day he received a dossier compiled by three cardinals delegated to look into the so-called "Vatileaks" affair.

The Vatileaks scandal is a scandal initially involving leaked Vatican documents, allegedly exposing corruption; an internal Vatican investigation purportedly uncovered the blackmailing of homosexual clergy as well.

The scandal first came to light in late January 2012 in a television program aired in Italy under the name of The Untouchables (Gli intoccabili). Further information was released when Italian journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi published letters from Carlo Maria Vigano, formerly the second ranked Vatican administrator to the pope, in which he begged not to be transferred for having exposed alleged corruption that cost the Holy See millions in higher contract prices. Viganò is now the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States. The name "VatiLeaks" is a play on the word Wikileaks, a not-for-profit media organization whose goal is to bring important news and information to the public; providing an anonymous way for sources to leak information to their journalists.

Over the following months the situation widened as documents were leaked to Italian journalists, uncovering power struggles inside the Vatican over its efforts to show greater financial transparency and comply with international norms to fight money laundering. In early 2012, an anonymous letter made the headlines for its warning of a death threat against Pope Benedicct XVI.

The scandal escalated in May 2012 when Nuzzi published a book entitled His Holiness: The Secret Papers of Benedict XVI consisting of confidential letters and memos between Pope Benedict and his personal secretary, a controversial book that portrays the Vatican as a hotbed of jealousy, intrigue and underhanded factional fighting. The book reveals details about the Pope's personal finances, and includes tales of bribes made to procure an audience with him.

At the time of his resignation the Pope cited failing health and old-age as his reasons, which were fabricated lies. The  reasons for his resignation, along with his daily appearances in front of large audiences in St. Peter's Square have all been a distraction and a sideshow in order to avoid the real issues and the deceptions of the Vatican.

By entering 'reasons for the pope's resignation' there are currently over 110 million listings on Google. They serve as confirmation of the Decline and Fall of the Mystery Babylon and the Mother of Harlots, as recorded and spoken of in Revelation 17:5 and explained on this website.

Most of the news of the daily scandals involving Vatican officials can be read daily in the Italian newspaper La Republica and most European papers. However, most of the news that confirm the deceptions of the Vatican and the Catholic Church is being withheld in North-America as a result of the bias reporting by CNN, Fox News, The Associated Press and The Canadian Press to shield the Catholic Church.

The media has spent more time talking about the Pope's red shoes rather than the deceptions of his office. Trust us, the 'Holy See' is not holy at all. For anyone interested, the red shoes are a tradition of the church and are supposed to symbolize martyrdom. The tradition of the papal red shoes only adds to all the other deceptions of the church, as the Catholic Church is responsible for the blood of the saints and the martyrs of Jesus as spoken of in Revelation 17:6.

The Vatican's obsession with secrecy and their code of silence, will be no match for the Word of God and what has already been confirmed in Matthew 10:26, that there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

The mission and objective of our Ministry is to show the people of this world how and by whom they have been deceived as confirmed in Revelation 12:9. Many will attest that  the Gospel we preach is the same Gospel as it was preached by Christ and the apostles (Gal. 1:10,11).

We invite you to read the many entries on the Current Events page and also the many articles listed on this website that explain the deep hidden mysteries of the Word of God and the deceptions of this world.
