The movie 'Son of God' is about people stealing a story from the Word of God that they cannot understand (1 Cor. 2:14) and then exploit it to make money.
The movie portrays a story without any spiritual meaning or discernment (1 Cor. 2:14). It does not bring people to a better understanding of God or Jesus Christ, or teaches how this whole world has been deceived as confirmed in Revelation 12:9. It is a false portrayal of the life of Christ.
No one can know Christ unless God reveals Himself and reveals Christ in you (Gen. 1:3; Psalm 27:1; Isa. 2:5; Matthew 11:27; John 1:9; 2 Cor. 4:6; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 5:8,14; 1 Thess. 1:5; 2 Peter 1:19).
The religious doctrines and commandments of men are all in vain (Matthew 15:9). The spiritual powers of this world (Eph. 6:12) have transformed themselves into false apostles (2 Cor. 11:13-15) and this is how this whole world has been deceived (Rev. 12:9). Only God has the power to transform and convert mankind and movies such as the 'Son of God' are not able to transform mankind from darkness to light (Acts 26;18). In addition, mankind has a pernicious desire to follow darkness rather than light (John 3:19) and in their natural condition people follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ (Matthew 24:24).
Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, the producers of the movie, are blind guides controlled and directed by their natural spirit. They are spiritually blind and separated from God and unless they repent (please study what it means) they will die in their sin (Romans 6:23). Their latest movie is no different than the 10 Hour mini-series they produced earlier, which was also based upon stories of the Word of God but without any spiritual content. It is of the same spirit as all the other programs they have produced, i.e. Survivor, The Apprentice, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader, Shark Tank and The Voice.
The Fox News Network has dedicated several programs to promote the movie 'Son of God' as did Piers Morgan of CNN. They refer to any movies that are based on stories of the Word of God as faith-based movies, while the faith they speak of is built on the wrong foundation. We did contact Piers Morgan at CNN and Senior Managers and Reporters at Fox News and offered to appear on any of their shows to explain the Spiritual side of the story of Jesus Christ, who He was and why He was crucified and by whom, but they have yet to reply.
The movie also does not explain that Christ was the firstborn among many brethren, who are referred to as the sons of God (John 1:12; Romans 8:29; 2 Cor. 6:18; Hebrews 2:10; James 1:18; 1 John 3:1). Now, as Christ came to destroy the principalities and the powers of darkness of this world (Eph. 6:12), so the sons of God have come for the pulling down of this world's strong holds, i.e. Religion, Politics, Medical Profession, the Media, Legal Profession, etc., etc. (2 Cor. 10:4).
Bill O'Reilly from Fox News has already indicated that they plan to produce a movie based on his book 'Killing Jesus'. This will also be just another attempt to play on the emotions of people and exploit stories based on the Word of God for no other purpose than to promote and ideologize his personal distorted views and those of the Fox News Network on Catholicism and its doctrines. One of its main goals is to generate revenue and for the rich to become richer. His books in the future will be no different and will also be without any spiritual content.
The day will come and as it was in the days of Christ, that people will gather all the books they have in their possession and burn them (Acts 19:19), They will come to know that all the wisdom of men is foolishness with God and for this reason God will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent (1 Cor. 19-21).

Unless people submit themselves to the Baptism of Repentance (Mark 1:4) they will remain spiritually blind and separated from God.
