The definition for the word 'stronghold' in the Merriam-Webster dictionary is: A fortified place and a place of security and survival, dominated by a particular group or marked by a particular characteristic.
Before we put the above definition into a 'spiritual' context we would like to refer you first to the following teachings and explain who the sons of God are and that they have come for the pulling down of strongholds. So, what are these 'strongholds'?
John 1:12,13.
