What happens when people die - Is there a heaven?

There have been times in the obituary listing of our local paper that people refer to the deceased of joining the Lord. This is as a direct result of the false promises and the man-made and religious doctrines that people have been conditioned in (Matthew 15:9).

In 1984 God started to reveal Himself to us and eventually sent us out into this world to declare his message of Repentance according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17). The Word of God records in Revelation 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived and the content of our website is to show how and by whom the people of this world have been deceived, and what they must do to be reunited with the true and living God.

Without the Baptism of Repentance (Matthew 3:8; Mark 1:4; Luke 3:3) people will remain spiritually blind and separated from God and the Word of God will forever remain a mystery to them, which was kept secret since the world began (Matthew 13:35; Mark 4:11; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:7; Eph. 3:3-9; Col. 1:26; Rev. 10:7).

As explained in detail through the many articles on this website, Satan, as the prince of this world, rules the hearts and minds of mankind and God's church (the Body of Christ) has become spiritually disenfranchised since the days of Jesus Christ and the formation of the seven churches in Western Turkey (Asia) by the apostles. The principles of Christ's teachings only lasted one generation.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge (Proverbs 1:8) and all wisdom, knowledge and understanding comes from God (Proverbs 2:6). The wisdom of man and this world is mere foolishness with God (1 Cor. 1:19-21; 2:4-7).

Now, the believers have not received the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that they might know the things that are freely given of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual (1 Cor. 2:12,13).

The key of knowledge is also referred to as the key of David and opens and closes the gates to heaven (Isaiah 22:22; Matthew 16:19; Luke 11:52; Rev. 3:7), but also opens and closes the gates to hell (Rev. 1:18). It is a free gift to all those that God chooses.

The belief that heaven is a place where people go after they die to join the Lord is a lie. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). 'Heaven' is strictly a symbolic name to describe the presence of the spirit world..

So, what happens when people die? Very simple; the unbelievers die (Romans 6:23) and will not be judged till after the one thousand year reign of Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings of His Kingdom (Rev. 19:16; 20:8-15).

The believers do not die, but rather go to sleep (Deut. 31:16: Matt. 27:52; John 11:11-13; 1 Cor. 15:51; 1 Thess. 4:13-15; 2 Peter 3:4), and will rise with Christ when He returns to live and reign with Him for a thousand years (Rev. 20:4). Studying the Greek word ‘koimao’ that was used in the Word of God, it means: to put to sleep or fall asleep, to indicate a temporary condition. Some people like Abraham have been asleep for more than 4000 years (Moses 3200 years, the apostles 2000 years) to await the return of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh).

There have been times when people informed us that their loved ones were in 'heaven' but when we asked them where and what 'heaven' was they were unable to explain. They simply don't know as they have been deceived.

The above is only one of the many deceptions and lies that the people of this world believe in. It should be understood that the believers have overcome the spirit of darkness and this world and are no longer of this world as they serve the Spirit of God (John 7:7; 15:19; 17:9,14,16; Romans 12:2; 1 Cor. 2:12; Gal. 1:4; Eph. 2:2; 1 Peter 1:12,20; 1 John 2:15; 4:5).

We invite you to review all the pages and articles listed on this website and learn of the many other deceptions and lies, and how and by whom people have been deceived.

The Word of God teaches in Matthew 24:24 that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived and invite you to read the article 'You Need Not That Any Man Teach You' listed on this website.

Be not deceived (1 Cor. 6:9; 15:33; Gal. 6:7).

Seek, and ye shall find (Matthew 7:7).
